Lucky Puck

I got a new Green Dogs foster today, since River's spot was empty. His name was Lucky, but we're now calling him Puck. Nothing about his life was lucky before Saturday when Dogs Deserve Better - Blue Ridge got a hold of him. He went to the vet and then to a temporary foster and came here today. Welcome Puck.

I stuck him in a crate in my office for the afternoon while I worked, but this evening we took him out for a beer at Decipher Brewing in Charlottesville. He's a sweet and friendly guy! He rides great in the car, no fussing and no sickness. He's was great indoors, very friendly, and in the course of just a couple beers he became very stuck on me.

He was fine meeting other dogs this afternoon, and apparently he passed the cat test in his temporary foster home over the weekend. All I see is a dog who wants to belong to someone and be with that someone.

Oh right, the basic facts, male, 3-4 years old?, up to date on vaccines, will be neutered on Friday. He's maybe 35-40 pounds?, possibly a cattle dog/border collie mix of some sort. One hundred percent good boy.

That's Elliot, he and his mom transported Puck here today.

Such a happy soul! Just goes to show how resilient some pups can be. His smile is contagious!
