Play date

My friend Meg came out late this afternoon with her pup, Violet, a Weimaraner/German Shorthaired Pointer mix.

I had all the dogs in the pasture for about an hour, but put Max into the shed, and put Maya and Della back in the house when our guests arrived, leaving just Tilly, Bonnie, and Puck to run with Violet. And run they did. Violet ran they all gave chase.

Tilly can be a little rough with other dogs, not recognizing the size of her mouth and the mass of her body. But she eases up after a couple of corrections. Everyone had fun and got a good amount of exercise.

Puck is doing very well around here and really seems to be enjoying himself.
I will dispense with the long line tomorrow. In the house he is always
within reach. Walking around he is always right by my side.

Puck was a little too interested in Violet.
That problem will be resolved on Friday when he gets neutered.

Bonnie loved running with the play group.

That's Violet out front, followed by Tilly, Puck, and Bonnie.

Bonnie, Puck, and Tilly

Violet was the center of attention and the leader of the chase.

Bonnie is scared of the mower so she often goes back
into the dog yard when I'm riding it around.
