Gigi goes to school, again

Tuesday evening was the second night of Gigi's six week course.  It was cold, dark, and it's been raining for two days, so I didn't even want to go, but we went.  Maybe it's because it was dark and she didn't know where we were, but I had no trouble getting her out of the van when we arrived.

She wasn't shocked to see everyone like she had been the first week, and actually she was less frightened.  Her tail wasn't tucked under her as tightly as the week before, and sometimes it even came out.

I think she was still wondering what she was doing in a class for dogs, however.

She isn't particularly driven with a desire to please me and treats don't really work for her.  Her idea of quality time with me is napping on the bed..  Consequently, training isn't really high on her list of priorities.  Fortunately, she already walks pretty well on a leash. She can and will sit when it suits her, but performing on command is really beneath her dignity.

I was pleased to see her less nervous this week, and she even permitted strangers to touch her.  This really is going to be good for her.

Back home in bed after class.
The only decent place to be on a night like this.
