She was fine meeting Cosette, but was clearly not interested in her, even though Cosette tried to be friendly and engage her in play. That's ok. Both girls got along fine and Gigi even relaxed a bit when we went for a walk, although she was stuck to me like glue.
She was happy to hop back into the van to go home and seemed very happy once we arrived. She's a homebody and that's all right. I am too. We will continue with the class, mostly for the socialization, but I don't expect Gigi to ever be a social butterfly or an obedience star. My dogs don't do obedience. I don't ask a lot of them except to be dogs and get with the program, which means falling in line with the household routine.
Cosette is a sweet girl. She's friendly, good with dogs, cats, and people. She's absolutely gorgeous, with one blue eye and one brown. She's underweight but won't be for long on her current feeding schedule. She's not too much taller than Gigi, but she's got a thicker build. Seems like a wonderful dog even though she's still quite new to her foster home.
Gigi is the girliest girl we've ever had around here. Molly was the consummate tomboy. Gypsy was the Iron Lady. Emmylou was sweet, but she was a country girl, happiest when hunting through a field or forest. Gigi is just dainty and elegant. She likes dogs well enough, but she's not one of them, she's a princess.
