Black dogs are difficult to photograph. The snow makes a great backdrop, but unless the sun is on the right side all you get are shadows and silhouettes. That can be nice though. In some of these I've increased the contrast to heighten the effect, but it didn't take much. These are pictures of Scooby and Barkley. Today was Scooby's sailing day. I met his adopters in Culpeper this evening so he is in a new home tonight. Good night Scooby.

Scooby is very light bodied compared to Barkley
and he just seems to skim across the surface of the snow. |
