Bio posts for Buster and Jackson

Buster is an 8 year old, neutered male, brindle boxer. He was surrendered to Green Dogs Unleashed along with another dog, Jackson, by an owner who could no longer provide for him due to her own health issues. She had taken very good care of both dogs, however.

Buster is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has been on heartworm preventative. He's 8 years old, which shows in his graying muzzle, but he seems to be in very good health. Buster is house trained and although he had never been crated, we have crated him here at night without problem. We have also left her loose in the house at night without problem. Buster is the epitome of everything nice about a more senior dog - he's well past the puppy stage and all of it's problems. He has excellent house manners, is good with other dogs, and he does the typical boxer happy dance when he's excited.

Buster has always been an inside dog and has had very good care and it shows in his shiny coat and solid temperament. I don't have any information about him with cats, but could cat test him for a serious applicant. He lived with an older woman so I doubt that he's accustomed to living with small children, but from what I've seen of him, I doubt that he would have a problem with it. Believe me, there is nothing more rewarding than giving a second chance home to a senior dog.

Jackson is a 2.5 year old, neutered male, black Great Dane. He was surrendered to Green Dogs Unleashed along with a boxer, Buster, by an owner who could no longer provide for him due to her own health issues. She had taken very good care of both dogs, however. Jackson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has been an heartworm preventative. His coat is sleek and shiny and he appears to be excellent health.

Jackson is still looking and acting a little bit lost and confused by the change in homes, but he's handling it very well. He is house trained and seems fine with being crated as well. We have crated him some nights and left him loose in the house on others and he's been fine either way. Jackson has always been an inside dog and he has excellent house manners. He's good with other dogs and I haven't seen him take anything off the kitchen counters, although he easily could.
