Buster and Jackson, the new guys

They've been around here for a few days now. I'm not sure what to make of them, and they don't seem sure about the rest of us. They've been on a hunger strike even though I'm giving them the same food they had been eating. I'm not giving them the canned food and they don't need it, so I'm waiting out the hunger strike. They finally ate this evening, or one of them did, I'm not sure who ate how much food, but leaving them outside long enough with two bowls of food it finally disappeared.

They are both sweet and gentle dogs with impeccable house manners. I haven't been crating them since the first night really and they don't need it. They find a spot not occupied by other dogs, and that can be difficult around here sometimes. Luna barked at them when they tried to come into the office, Arby barks at them when they try to go into the living room, Della just barks at them for no reason sometimes. They get along fine, and they are beginning to settle in a bit and look more comfortable.

They do everything together, eat, drink, and sleep. They go outside, off leash, and stick pretty close together and pretty close to the house. They come in when called. They are really nice, well-behaved, dogs. That's almost a handicap when it comes to fitting in around here with our merry band of misfits.
