Eight dogs running

Lousy weather has kept the outdoor activity to a minimum for the past four or five days. Today was cloudy still, and windy, but it was a nice fall day. That's when dogs have the most energy and the wind makes everyone a little crazy. I took all eight dogs out to the pasture for a good run on the trails. Of course, they didn't always stick to the trails. The trails are suggested routes and they are good for speed, but nothing is carved in stone and they are free to run wherever their heart or nose leads them.

The roster:  Della, Maya, Max, Cosmo, Henry, Olivia, Paisley, and Elvis. I'm posting a lot of pictures because there was a lot of fun out there today.

The group really stuck together much of the time.

Olivia was often out of sight, due to her size and her speed,

but all you had to do was wait a bit and she would come whizzing by in a blur of gray fur.
