I've been working on cleaning up Daneland for the past several weeks, doing a little bit here and there, but today I devoted several afternoon hours to the cause.
The puppy shed has a new linoleum floor, a futon that Norman has been sleeping on, another nice raised bed, and that elevated rectangle in the corner is the base of whelping box that was given to me.
Della trying out the new futon.
It's plenty big enough for both of them, but when Elvis laid in the center of it, Della took a spot on the floor. It's Norman's bed at night. Moving inside to the Dane crate in the office may be a downgrade in his sleeping accommodations, but I think Norman wants to be inside with the rest of the pack.
This afternoon I hung new solar powered lights in Daneland, cleaned up the outside space, collected a few dozen toys to be cleaned, and made a few other improvements. Bailey and Norman enjoyed having me in their outdoor space for a while.
These will go through the washing machine a couple of times.
A new ramp for the doggie door into the puppy shed.
In the evening I took most everyone out to the pasture again. The big event of the day was Norman catching a rabbit. Bailey was quite jealous.
That's Norman walking off with his prize.
Mercy will miss Odie. They've been a great play pair.
Norman settled down on one of the mowed pathways to enjoy his rabbit.
Elvis laid down near him, hoping (expecting?) him to share.
Elvis was disappointed.

Is Della losing her title as the Slayer of Rabbits?
Della loses nothing. She let that one go for other dogs to practice on.
