Patch the Pathetic

Before the bath
Patch had an indoor bath today, soaked to the skin in a miconazole shampoo.  Between that and the ketoconazole medication he's taking orally, we should knock out this yeast infection pretty soon.  He was really pretty good about the bath.  Most dogs clog the drain with shedding hair but not Patch.  What little hair he has is sticking on him.   He balked at the stairs but came on up once I started to drag him.  He came down without a problem and that is usually more scary for most dogs, perhaps he was just wanting to get the hell out at that point.  He rode to town with me to pick up Zachary's raw food so he was thoroughly warm and dry by the time we got back home.  His coat, such as it is, is looking better after each bath, and he smells better too.

Although he didn't really seem to mind the bath, he sure put on his poor, pathetic face, working it for all the sympathy he could get.

His coat has some color and shine to it now but it's still thin and non-existent in spots.
It will take some time to fill in.

He's a handsome dog, in spite of the problems he is recovering from.
