A Blur of Fur

It's cold and windy tonight. Everyone is inside and most are trying to break the laws of physics by being in the same place at the same time.

Jackie, rear left; Theo, rear right;
and that's Maya and TJ in front.
Toquima came today to spend Christmas with us, bringing our total to a dirty dozen. I'd love to find homes for Griff, Rex, and even Jackie before Christmas, but if not, we will make do.

Clockwise, starting at the top, is TJ,
then Griffin, and Toquima. Griff has his head
under Toquima's tail, saying hello.
That's Theo on Jackie's bed, Toquima on the right, Maya on
the left, and TJ in front.
A little chaos can be fun, but when it's time to settle down I divide and conquer. It looks like Toquima may be inclined to camp out downstairs in the kitchen with Jackie and Theo. Rex, Griff, and Sparky are in the office. Max is staying outside in the shed. That leaves just five for the bedroom: Gigi, Maya, Trooper, TJ, and Vince. That's not too many dogs, it's barely enough.

Trooper, Maya, and Theo
This was Toquima and Griff's first meeting.

I'm not a big fan of Christmas, but I like a
Christmas tree and was tired of not having one.
I went to Lowe's and bought a four footer for
the kitchen island.

Jackie likes her bed, but she also enjoyed all the dog activity.

That's Maya pushing her way through.

Griff, Toquima, Maya, and the black blur
in front is Jackie.
Griff, the new guy, gets lots of attention from
Toquima and TJ.

I love seeing all these kiddos bustling about in your house!

So why was Max kept outside alone?

The house was a little too chaotic for Max that night. He can't handle a high level of stimulation. He's got a warm and cozy nook in the dog yard shed that he's happy with and he's better off there sometimes.
