Final Fall Hike

This was just starting out. Tails up and bushy,
all excited. I have tail envy.

We only had enough daylight to get in three miles, but it was a beautiful day and will probably be the final hike this fall. Maya and TJ and I all needed it and enjoyed it. I've noticed that neither Maya nor TJ are very good about eating if we aren't walking regularly. They don't finish their food or at least don't seem very interested in it. I can't say the same about myself.

Post-hike nap

Even just three miles makes a big difference
in how calm the dogs are and how well
we all sleep.
