Boxer Love

I took Griffin to an event on Sunday that Green Dogs was having at a cider house in Albemarle county. It was a beautiful day and they had a big crowd - lots of people, lots of dogs, lots of vendors, and I hope they made lots of money.

It was Griff's first public appearance and although he seemed to be the least trained dog in attendance, he was also probably one of the sweetest. He loved every minute of it and wanted to meet every dog and every person. Fortunately, they were all dog people so no minded when he grabbed their leg and tried to reach their face to give lots of slobbery kisses.

We did some bonding, he had a great time, I won one of the raffle baskets, and my arms got a workout trying to keep him minimally under control. He zonked out in van on the drive home.

He's a sweet boy. He needs some deaf dog training, for sure, but he's an awesome dog, with or without it. He's a bit underweight at 50 pounds, about 18 months old, neutered, vaccinated, crate-trained, and is available now through Green Dogs Unleashed.

The volunteers at the HOWS table were very
willing recipients of boxer love.

I left a lot of blue sky showing in these pictures
because it was such a beautiful day.
