Snowy Sunday

It was the best kind of snow day. It happened on a Sunday so we didn't have any place to go. The freezing rain and ice didn't really happen, just about 6" of pretty snow. The temperature is barely freezing, so one pass by the snow plow, plus the pre-treatment that was done earlier, and the roads are clear. I cooked biscuits and gravy for breakfast, brownies for the afternoon, and a big pot of beef vegetable soup for dinner, while enjoying three really good beers throughout the day.

We had a couple of good dog romps in the snow. All the dogs are getting along, Summer has settled down a lot and Madison spent Saturday night in the bedroom with our household pack. (She was missing Dolly.)

Both Karma and Dolly are doing well in their new homes. Dolly and Augie were out romping in the snow today. To top it off, I start a new full time job tomorrow, working from home. I'm feeling pretty good about the day.

Theo and Max, Serena in the distance

Serena with a ball she probably just stole from Theo,
Summer on the right.

Della, Serena, Summer

This was the first pack activity with Madison,
aside from sleeping with us all in the bedroom last night.

Theo the Great, with snow on his nose.

Max with the ball, Theo going after him, Serena sniffing the snow.

Here's Theo making a (successful) play for the ball.

Sweet Serena

This isn't a great picture, but it is. I called Summer who came running towards me
across the pasture. She didn't knock me down, but she did immediately assume a sit and lean
position against my leg. I don't think that's a matter of training, just indicative of her desire to be close.

Summer kissing up to Serena.

Madison coming through the snow and tall grass towards me.

This is Della, not Madison, notice white on the face and black sleeve on right front leg.
Madison has a blacker face and has a black sleeve on her right rear leg.

Max loved being out there today so much that I couldn't get him to come in with the rest of us.
