Boring maybe, but not bored

It's more of the same tonight - dogs romping in the pasture while I cut grass. It sounds pretty boring, doing pretty much the same thing day after day, and yet they never get bored with it, and really I don't either. I sometimes wish for something a bit new and exciting, but I really can't complain and the dogs certainly don't. They love getting out there to run and play, or hunt, or bark at neighbors, or whatever. I have yet to have one of them say that they were bored and wanted to go back in. It's the highlight of their day and mine too.

This was on one of several walks outside to the front yard that we do throughout the day.
Melly really is interested in playing. I made sure that we were out of Hugo's sight because
we were using one of his discs. I don't want her running too much until she drops some weight
because that has got to be a lot of stress on her joints. I limit her runs to short distances and
she really enjoys it. Rufus (right) already has dropped some weight from chasing Lexie.

Evening is pasture time. It's cooler today and Hugo never wanted to stop playing.
He would take a break occasionally and run to the dog yard to jump in the water tank,
but then he was right back out there, ready to run.

Hugo (down hill) executing one of his jump catches.
Melly hangs with us, but she's no match for him.

Serena with a ball. She plays with it by herself.

She is built like a barrel and her head looks really small.
Melly is the sweetest girl, however, she will be a wonderful dog for someone.

Serena and Della off on a run. Serena will often start running
and barking even, as if there is something there, even when there isn't.
I think it's wishful thinking on her part.
