Enjoying fake spring

It's not spring yet, but it sure felt like it today. I took advantage of it and got out for a four miler this afternoon with Della and Maya. We got back with just enough daylight left to get the fosters out to the pasture for a run.

I'm afraid to jinx it by talking about it too soon, but Serena is showing an ever so slight improvement in her leg. She's still not bearing weight on it, but she's touching the ground with it now and using it a bit for stability and balance. The most noticeable improvement is the sound she makes going upstairs. On three legs it was not a very graceful gait and it sounded accordingly. Now it's quieter and smoother, and easier on her I think. I'm not canceling our appointment with the specialist on March 2, but am hoping that when we see him we'll be talking about this issue in the past tense, trying to figure out what it was, not what it still is.

Zippy gets spayed tomorrow.

There was something very interesting about this rotten stump.
Maya even pawed at it a couple of times.

We hit Sparky's Watering Hole twice today and it was a welcome break
and an opportunity for a quick cool drink for the girls.

4.34 miles today
