A new routine for a quiet night

Tuesday night was the first night in what seems like a very long time that both Clay and I got a decent night's sleep.

Oakley liked to get up in the middle of the night, anywhere from midnight to 3:00 a.m. After she got adopted we had a few nights of Norman barking in the middle of the night. No matter when we were up in the middle of the night, and whether or not we had managed to get back to sleep, Bailey always wants to get up and start her day at 5:00 a.m., causing everyone else to get up with her expecting to be fed breakfast.

I finally started closing the doggie door on the puppy shed at night, keeping Norman inside and quiet. Yesterday Norman spent most of the day in the pasture and the dog yard while Bailey and Arlo spent the day in Daneland. All dogs were tired in the evening and everyone slept through the night. Bailey didn't get us up until 6:00 a.m. I repeated the routine on Wednesday and I'm hoping for similar results Wednesday night.

Pictures are from a four mile walk with Della and Elvis late Wednesday afternoon.
