The Diesel Truck

His name is Diesel and he's our newest foster for Promises Animal Rescue. He's a nice dog and I can already tell that he's going to be an easy foster.

He flew in today from North Carolina. He was an owner surrender to a shelter down there. Owner was moving some place he could only have one dog so Diesel got dumped. The owner said that he's only three years old, and he's said to be good with dogs, cats, and kids. I can vouch for the fact that he's good with dogs, but that's as far as we've got so far. He's met most of the dogs around here and has been good with them all. He's certainly been a house dog and seems well-mannered. What he is mostly is overweight. Right now he's looking like a truck. His paperwork says he's 85 pounds and that's at least 20 too many. He looks older than three years, but that may change when he loses some weight.

Diesel is easy going, cooperative, and I've already taken him outside (in our fenced yard) without a leash. He's not looking to run anywhere, just seems to want a home.
