It was a good suggestion because we could let the dogs meet off-leash. We could see how protective/possessive the resident dogs were and how welcoming they would be to a new arrival. There was also a fenced backyard where Diesel and one of the other dogs immediately took to playing/chasing one another. Diesel looked very content in the new environment and seemed to settle in nicely and was already looking to and following the adopter around.
Diesel's temperament seemed like a good match for the household and he felt quite comfortable there. I felt quite comfortable leaving him there. It was a long drive but totally worth it to place a dog in a great home.
Diesel has a new home. We should be very happy for Diesel. Good night Diesel.

How happy he seems with his new dog friends. How dignified he looks in his new home.
