Eye brows

I've never had a litter of puppies so difficult to distinguish from one another. These three are virtually clones of their mother. I'm glad there's only three of them or it would be even harder. I've put new brightly colored collars on them to replace their initial velcro collars, but they are so fluffy that that colors rarely show up in pictures.

The best at-a-glance distinguishing feature I've found for these three are their eyebrow markings.

The girl, Angelfish (red collar), has just cute little brown dots above her eyes.

The largest of the males, Pike, (blue collar), has slightly elongated eye brow markings. His sort of look like vertical lines.

Mack (Mackerel), is the smallest of the three but he's also the fluffiest so he looks bigger than Pike until you pick them up. Mack also has the most distinctive eyebrow markings. If he wasn't an adorable puppy, one might refer to the eyebrows as sinister looking. A puppy can't quite pull off a sinister look, however, even with eye brows that rival those of the best cartoon villain you can imagine.

In terms of personality, Pike is the most outgoing right now, and Angelfish is probably the most shy. The pups will be six weeks old on Friday when they will get their first parvo/distemper vaccines and begin going outside. They are ready for some outdoor play time and a larger play space. Even more importantly, after their first vaccines we'll begin welcoming visitors for puppy socialization. I haven't been able to spend as much time with these guys as I should have, so they really need a crash course in meeting and interacting with humans.
