Dobies, Della, Porkins, and more

I finally got the Doberman pups out to the pasture for a quick run on Friday afternoon. Bailey and Paisley were out with them. Bailey would occasionally corner one of the dobie pups and they all were properly submissive towards her so she had no problem with them. Paisley just tries to keep her distance from them.

A couple of garden pictures:

This tiny piece of coleus is noteworthy only because I didn't plant it.
It's a volunteer, although how that happened I'm not really sure.

I'm still walking at least once a day. This is from Friday morning.
Saturday morning Bailey and I did three miles but I took zero pictures.

Porkins had visitors Saturday afternoon.

Sam (Maze's adopter) and his mother came over to meet Porkins and to see Della.

Della loved the attention, and the treats.

Treats for Della

I had ordered a new outfit for Della that arrived last week but today was the first occasion she had to wear it. Usually when I put anything on her it means we are going someplace so she went immediately to the van and wanted to get in. But the reason for this dress up occasion was a visit from our neighbors, not an outing. They came and brought dog cookies. They looked really good, lots of frosting and everything. She was very happy and appreciative.

We had a pretty good thunderstorm last night and Della climbed into bed and laid down between us. She hasn't generally been overly concerned about storms but we were getting some pretty intense thunder and lightning at the time. After the storm finally passed, I got up and she did too and returned to her bed. The rule around here now is that Della gets anything she wants. But come to think of it, that has always been the case, pretty much since the day she arrived.

The big cookies were too hard to break, but she took the whole thing and had no problem breaking it up.

Getting through the week

Morning walk with Woody and Bailey

Deer spotting

Bailey loves the deer sightings.

Woody has a fairly clueless look on his face most of the time,
but he's smart enough to listen to Bailey.

Watering is play time as far as Bailey is concerned.
