Down to one Dane

Our pack weight took a big, big hit today when MoDean and Rorschach went back home. MoDean is one of Della's pups and he's still just as sweet today as he was five years ago living out in the puppy shed with the rest of the litter. Rorshach came from that Dane hoarding case later that same summer and you can tell he didn't have quite the same upbringing, but he's a good dog and together they make a formidable pair of brothers. The house is much quieter this evening.

Here's some pictures from their session at camp.

MoDean is a big, handsome dog. I suspect he takes after his father in that regard.

Rorschach, Modean, and Della crowding onto the back porch wanting to come inside.

In the garden

These two like to drink from the hose.

It was nice having three Danes again for a while.

Although Mo and Ro like to drink from the hose,
they don't play with it the way Bailey does.

As she so often does, Della waits until the visiting Danes are about to leave before she decides to play with them.

If you're following along at home (and if my numbers are correct), the departure of MoDean and Rorschach should have brought us down to 13 dogs. However, we are still at 14 tonight because of the arrival of Woody earlier today. More on him tomorrow, I'm sure.
