Riley
Riley went to her new home this afternoon. It's a great home, she was happy to go, and I'm happy for her. She will have a place in the woods with a big fenced yard and several canine sisters, including one who really liked to run and play with her. She will be indoors finally and out of the heat that seems to be settling in for the summer. She's a great girl. There's just nothing quite like a lovable, huggable, kissable rottie. They are everything you ever wanted in a teddy bear, plus a whole lot more.
This is a blog about my life, which until recently largely revolved around a dog rescue operation. Recently retired, we have moved to France for the next chapter of our lives. I write mostly, but not exclusively, about dogs. I am gay, with a very understanding husband; liberal Democrat; Kansas native and long time Virginia resident. We rescued, fostered, and/or adopted well over a thousand dogs through multiple rescue organizations over the past 25 years, large breed dogs, e.g. German Shepherd Dogs, Great Danes, Rottweilers and mutts. Anyone who voted for or supports the orange TACO turd (or any elected Republican) will please take themselves out with the trash, you are not welcome here.
