More space, more exercise, more pictures

These puppies are really rather fat. Eating four times a day is really packing some weight on them. I decided that they need more exercise to turn all that food into muscle and growth. This morning when I let them outside to play, I opened the Daneland divider that allows Lexie to come in and left it open, allowing the puppies access to the larger, sunnier, and greener side of Daneland. 

It was new territory and they the approached it rather cautiously at first. But once Lexie realized they were on her side of the divide she started running and playing with them. The pups gradually went farther into the new space and began exploring.

Jan and Paul came down for the afternoon outing in the new territory and the puppies enjoyed it even more. Of course what they seem to enjoy most is wading through standing water and then rolling in the dirt. They were pretty dirty by the end of the play session. But once they are inside and dry off, the dirt falls right off and they look like clean puppies again, ready to get dirty.
