I hadn't been out on the trails for a couple of days so Bailey and I both were needing it. I wasn't sure how much I was feeling it, so we set out on a nice two mile route. I felt pretty good after that so we made another two mile route and ended up with four miles for the day, ending just about the time that the sun was going down.
We encountered two off-leash dogs in areas were that's not allowed, but will say that the owners in both cases were on top of the situation and got their dogs leashed, avoiding any direct encounters. Bailey probably would have been fine, but in one case the dog came up on us quickly and took us both by surprise so that's always an unknown scenario. Bailey met the holiday inflatable creatures too. She was not a fan. They caused her a lot more concern than the dogs because she knows what dogs are. The inflatable things look like aliens.
The trails were a little muddy after the rain we had the other day (over an inch and a quarter here), but they weren't bad.
