| A Trooper snuggle selfie |
"Sleeping in" around here means staying in bed until 7:00 a.m.  It's a fairly rare occurrence but it happened this morning because: (1) Vince didn't need to pee; and (2) it was cloudy.
| |
| Whenever this spot is open, Vince comes up to my side of the bed for some petting.
 |
| |
| Vince's preferred sleeping spot, the bed on my side of the room. |
| |
| Max, Maya, and I hiked 8 miles yesterday and 7 miles the day before. He was tired last night, calm at last.

| Gigi is never the first dog to get up. |
| |
| Gigi makes an effort fold up her legs so she's a small dog in bed, sometimes more successfully than others.
 |
| |
| Trooper is actually our best snuggler, but he needs space so he doesn't persist in to for too long.
 |
| |
| Maya will generally jump into bed at the first signs of us being awake, but she was tired this morning too.

| Theo's head at the side of the bed is difficult to ignore. |
| |
| Theo is ready to get up and go whenever everyone else does but he's never the first to suggest or insist upon it.

| |
| Vince and Maya, competing for the free hand. |
| |
| Maya always insists on being the closest to me. |
| |
| When Gigi stands, everyone gets up. It signals that bed time is over and it's time to get up.
