Sully, we hardly knew ye

The mighty little man named Sully got adopted today. That's a wonderful occasion, a wonderful day. Adoption days are the best. I'm particularly thrilled with this one because it happened so quickly and because he could have been a disaster in the wrong home, but he landed in what I think is the perfect home for him.

We didn't have this guy very long, but it was long enough for me to become a fan. Although he looks like neither, his personality combined the best of two of our favorite breeds. He had the steadfast devotion of a German Shepherd Dog, and the goofy, fun-loving, personality of a rottweiler, all rolled up in a cute little package.

Sully's new home has experience with the breed, and he has an older brother who looks so much like him that his new family will have trouble telling them apart.

These pictures were taken on our final Sully hike on Saturday. We did four miles with Maya and Diesel. His new home does a lot of walking too. Sully will like that.
