A dog for all seasons

The Summer Solstice is one of my favorite holidays. The long days at this time of year are just wonderful. It means that you can work all day, if you must, and still have a nice long daylit evening to do what you actually want or need to do.

I did late afternoon yard work, we went to dinner, and I still had time to take Della for a Solstice saunter up at Pleasant Grove to celebrate spring becoming summer. The place was pretty much empty so we had a nice quiet walk, but there were rabbits everywhere! I had told Della that park bunnies were not her concern and thankfully she didn't take off after them dragging me along, but she had a look on her face that said "someone needs to be taking care of this rabbit problem."

We did encounter one family group with young girls who wanted to meet Della. She loved that and gave a generous amount of kisses to the girls and their mother.

A faerie circle, sure to be the site of celebrations by the fae folk tonight.

Della was more concerned about the rabbit problem.
