Wet Sunday

It rained overnight from Saturday into Sunday. It rained Sunday morning, hard. But it stopped in time for some folks to come over to meet the puppies. It was wet, it was muddy, but the puppies played and Kilo supervised.

Early afternoon I went up to Patch with Maya where we met Sam and Maze (one of Della's pups). I had lunch and a couple beers then came home for some more outdoor puppy time before the next rain came through.

I took down the barrier wall in the puppy palace, giving them more room, which is good since they are spending more time playing indoors as I try to keep them relatively dry amid all this rain.

The big elevated bed makes a nice platform off the muddy ground, but sooner or later they all
jumped off and waded through it anyway.

Pinot and Merlot, peeking out the door.

Indoor play is almost as fun and much drier.

If Kilo isn't named as father of the year, something is seriously wrong.

He's hustling treats but tolerating the puppies all up in his face.

Merlot's right ear is firmly up now, and the left ear is working on it.

Pinot's ears (left) are also working their way up.

At the opposite end of the size spectrum, this is Maze, formerly Chimay.
She is a merle coated Dane and she has gotten progressively darker from when she was a pup.

She's a beautiful girl and was very well behaved at Patch today.

I brought Maya along although I don't think she enjoys outings as much as she used to.
She settled down under the table.

Back home. Door opening between rains.

Kilo is absolutely amazing with these puppies.

He's playing with them now.

He's lets them mob him and he just takes it.

He's teaching them to play without hurting each other.
