Callie meets kids and cat

I took Callie/Hallie over to Green Dogs this afternoon to meet a potential adopter. It was a woman with two kids; the husband wasn't along for this visit but he received pictures and updates. It was the first time I've taken Callie anywhere since we got her and she was nervous but did very well. She wasn't bothered at all by the children, even when one repeatedly ran at her. She tolerated all manner of touching from the older and more active child, but really he was very good with her. He would make a good kid-test child.

Callie also saw a cat in close proximity, but paid it no mind. I'll probably take her in to meet Berta's cat one day soon.

Overall it went very well. Callie was nervous but she interacted with them and gave kisses, head butts, and even a Dane lean. She also walked between my legs several times, seeking maximum closeness and security. I think she will transition to a new home more easily, and faster, than she did when she arrived here.

My only concern about Callie lately is that she hasn't been keeping her food down. I think it may just be due to eating too much of that tasty spring grass. Dogs will eat grass when they aren't feeling well to help them vomit, but at this time of year some just eat it because it tastes good. Once a year it's nice to have a salad, right? Unfortunately, although they eat it because it tastes good, it has the same effect - making them vomit. I hope that's all it is because she had finally got to where she was eating well. She still acts normally and doesn't seem sick. She fasted today and we'll try some food again tomorrow.
