Shepherd smorgasbord

Rocky, very handsome, to be neutered on
Friday, new home on Sunday
Trooper meeting Rocky and proving
that possessing testicles doesn't
make you top dog around here.
Yesterday was cloudy, breezy, and felt like winter for much of the day.  Today was a nice sunny fall day again.  I spent quite a bit of the day rotating various groups of dogs in and out of the dog yard for exercise and play.  Our dogs were out in the morning, the foster shepherds had the mid-day, and the odds and ends crew (Lana, Hank, Riley, and Carbon) have the later afternoon and evening shift.  These are pics of the shepherd smorgasbord that we had in the dog yard this afternoon.

These pictures were taken with my cell phone, which reduces their size and quality when I send them to Clay's phone.  He then sends them to his computer and then emails them to mine.  I'll have a new camera by the weekend, which should improve picture quality immensely.

Trooper mixes well with everyone generally and
I wanted to see how he would do with Rocky,
mostly to gauge Rocky's reaction.  It all went well.

Odie seems to have an unusually long tail.

This is the new girl
that came with Carbon.

He is moving to another foster home this weekend.

Lady enjoys going outdoors, but I don't leave
her outside for very long.

I need to name this new girl.  She is very nice,
gets along well with others, and she's quiet, I
love that in a shepherd.  She's got something
on her foot that needs to be looked at, but
it doesn't cause her any problems. I'll get her to the
vet next week.

One of our first fosters, Brenna, had a very long tail. It actually 'hooked' at the end for the last couple of inches, just to keep the tip from dragging the ground!! Loved that feature LOL!

How old is the new nameless girl, Brent? How about Katrina? That was my first dog and she was just like this one- quiet, well behaved and sweet to all.
