And so it begins

Sparky enjoying a little dog yard time as the snow began.
The long-awaited, much hyped Snowpocalypse 2016 is upon us.  I don't know how much we will get, but it does seem that we are in for a shitload of the stuff.  All 10 dogs are indoors for the duration.  Actually they are all indoors at night throughout the winter anyway, but the daytime outdoor exercise is going to be curtailed considerably if we have 1-2 feet of snow.  We can stay warm and dry, but like everyone else, the thing I dread most is losing power, which seems like a real possibility given the amount of snow and wind that they are forecasting for Saturday.  At any rate, we've done all we can to prepare, so let it snow.

Firewood covered with tarp
Tarp removed from vacant kennel so the snow
load won't bring it crashing down.

More firewood under cover.

Canopy removed from frame in Sparky's
vacant kennel.

A shitload of shepherd in the A/C yard just to
poop and pee.

Shovels at the ready, although all we have to
shovel is the boardwalk out of the dog yard.

Clay's car parked at the end of the driveway,
after picking up refill of Max's meds this morning.

A crockpot full of soup cooking.
(Ham, beans, tomatoes, and veggies)

Drinking water, (mostly for the dogs)
we have plenty of beer.

Buckets to be filled with water
for toilet flushing
Little known rule:  The last dog to mark something
before the snow is the winner.
Sparky passing the propane grill, for
cooking and coffee making if necessary.
Sparky and Clay heading back into the house
where it's warm.
