Any given Saturday

I have three foster dogs currently: Declan, the Irish Wolfhound; Sidney, the brindle Great Dane; and River, our refugee from S. Korea. Declan's adopter backed out of their second visit that was scheduled for today and aren't pursuing adoption any more. They may not have any current adoption prospects, but the three boys get along, play together, and are pretty easy fosters. Collectively they add the better part of 500 pounds to our pack weight, and they outweigh our four resident dogs combined.

We are settling in for the long haul. If someone gets adopted, that's great, but otherwise we are good as long as the food holds out.

Sidney, left, and Declan, right, love to run together.
Everyone is advised to stay out of their way.

Declan is a very happy dog.

Declan, River, and Sidney

Sidney is a really nice guy; well behaved indoors.

River is my kind of dog. I love his face and the way he carries his tail.

I had a real treat today, seeing Elliot in person for the first time since his adoption. He's very sweet, very attentive and well-behaved, and very handsome.

He's convinced that he looks quite fine in his new coat.
He is not wrong.

He now has some brown eyeliner outside of the black, and some other new markings on both cheeks.

He kind of looks like a kid wearing a Superman cape.

I didn't see sweet little Sojo (Bertie) today, but I stole this pic of her from Facebook.
Apparently she really likes helping with laundry.
I miss all those pups but they are all doing well in their new homes.

Love seeing all the big ones out romping! I hope Serena is feeling more like herself!
