Kilo and Paisley

Kilo and Paisley attended a fundraiser/adoption event at Random Row Brewery in Charlottesville Saturday evening. It was raining most of the time, all of it actually, but there were four tents sent up so we can good shelter. There were adoptable dogs there and also previously adopted dogs. The brewery is donating $1 from every pint sold of a beer called Baby Got Bock throughout the month of July. The beer was good and it was another good social experience for these two fosters.

Both dogs are very food motivated and there were plenty of treats being passed out. Paisley was very good. We advised people that she was shy and particularly wary of a hand being raised over her head and people were really good about listening and responding appropriately. I held one of the dogs most of the time, but could pass off either dog's leash to other volunteers and did so several times with different people.

Paisley is pretty stuck on me at this point because I'm the one person in this world whom she trusts more than anyone else. Also, I was her ride home, so she got a little concerned if I walked away, particularly if I was out of sight. She is vastly improved from where she started but she will still need a home without a lot of craziness.

Kilo loves everyone. I think he would be great for a young couple or a single person, male or female, who is active and social. Women seem to be most taken with him and I think I've figured out why. For starters, he's devastatingly handsome. But more importantly, he will give you his complete and undivided attention. Those gorgeous blue eyes will focus on you and those ears as well. He's a rapt listener, taking in every word you say. He will always give you the kind of attention many women wish they could get from a husband or boyfriend, but don't.
