This is Maz again, she is quite a ham. She was holding a stick in her mouth that made her look like Winston Churchill smoking a cigar.
I learned that this color/coat pattern on the pups is called "flowered" and results from a recessive gene.
The dobie pups are ravenous eaters. Their mom, not so much, at least when she's by herself, but the puppies make food disappear before I even get out the gate. Here they are scavenging for food that I've just tossed and scattered, it slows them down a bit.
I think this pretty girl is Cara. She's climbing the wood pile.
I set up some ramps and things for the puppies to climb and play on outside.
I didn't have any decent pictures of Padme, the mother of the Doberman pups so we took some this evening. She's a very pretty girl. She spent the day in the house or the a/c yard, away from the puppies. She has been with both Bailey and Mercy and got along well with both.
She's been great in her crate in the kitchen next to Mercy at night. She is probably just relieved to be away from the pups at last.

I can't imagine a cross country dog transport. Do they just crate them and drive straight through?
HSUS flew them all to their facility in Maryland. Green Dogs recruited volunteer drivers to bring them down here.
