Morning madness

Rita (left) mixing it up with Trooper
In the mornings I take five of our own dogs outside to the dog yard, Cabell, Bremo, Zachary, Molly, and Trooper, along with Rita who is living indoors now.  That's six, plus the two that bunk in the dog yard outbuilding at night, Flirt and Jeremy.  That's eight dogs who need to do their morning business, plus work off their morning energy.  It's also a lot of stupid all in one spot and always a potential for trouble, but this group gets along pretty well, and Molly and Flirt (notice they are both females?) take on the role of supervisor.

Flirt and Trooper

Here's a few pics taken this morning during morning madness.  I split them into small groups for eating:  Flirt and Jeremy back into the shed; Cabell and Bremo back inside to eat with Gypsy; Zachary eats alone later; and Molly, Rita, and Trooper eat in the dog yard, weather permitting.

Zachary and his father, a former foster named Riker,
have the nicest gait of any shepherd I've seen.

Flirt and Molly respect each other, thank goodness.
A girl fight between them would be ugly.

Tomorrow I have a vet appointment scheduled for the first two shepherds and I plan to take them to the dog wash before that.
